How inspiration and presence shape the way we create
When Inspiration Leads the Way
Ultimately, when we are truly inspired by what it is we want to create, we do, we go, we take action towards our purpose. Inspiration moves us in ways that feel effortless, almost inevitable. It’s as though something deep within us is remembering its natural rhythm, a pulse that aligns thought, feeling, and movement into one clear expression.
When I feel inspired, I don’t need to push myself into action. The pull is so strong, it becomes the most natural next step. Purpose begins to unfold, not as something I must chase, but as something I am being guided toward, moment by moment.
Redefining the Word “Purpose”
Purpose was always a frightening word for me. I used to perceive it as a single event, containing one grand action that I must find and fulfill for the rest of my life. The pressure of that belief made purpose feel rigid, intimidating, and almost unreachable.
But over time, my relationship with this word has changed. Now, I see purpose as something creative, spontaneous, and ever-changing. It’s malleable and fluid, alive in the same way we are. It doesn’t live in a single goal or destination. Instead, it’s a mash-up of moments, each one as full of purpose as the next.
When I softened my grip on the idea of purpose being a fixed point in the distance, I began to discover it in the spaces between things – in the transitions, the quiet pauses, and the unexpected turns. Purpose became less about what I was striving for and more about how I was being in each unfolding moment.

Finding Purpose in the Simple Things
I often feel the greatest sense of purpose doing the most simple things. These are the moments that remind me that purpose isn’t always about doing more, achieving more, or reaching further. It’s about opening my eyes to really take life in.
There’s purpose in the way the morning light filters through the window, in the way I sip my tea, in the laughter shared with a friend. These moments bring me back to a truth that purpose is as much about presence as it is about progress.
Sometimes I find myself feeling the most connected when I slow down enough to notice the small miracles, like the rhythm of my breath or the way a leaf trembles in the wind. It’s in those ordinary moments that I remember how extraordinary life really is.
A Morning Ritual: Plugging Into Purpose
One of my favorite things to do is to wake up and take five minutes to plug into purpose. It’s such a simple ritual, yet it shifts everything.
Sometimes that looks like staring at a tree and watching how it moves with the wind. Other times, it’s grabbing my journal and writing out what’s alive in me – what I want to create, express, or feel that day. Either way, it brings me back to my center.
Those few minutes each morning are a reminder that purpose doesn’t need to be something we search for, it’s something we return to. The act of pausing, noticing, and connecting creates a spark of creativity that ripples through the rest of the day.
Living as a Creative Expression of Purpose
Purpose, to me now, is less about a fixed mission and more about a living dialogue with life. It’s an invitation to stay curious, to keep listening, and to let inspiration lead.
When we stop trying to confine purpose to a definition and instead allow it to unfold through us, we become a part of its creative current. Every breath, every thought, every action becomes an expression of that living purpose.
And maybe that’s the beauty of it. That purpose isn’t something we find once and for all. It’s something we keep discovering, over and over again, in the quiet, simple, breathtaking moments of being alive.
Loving you,
Meghan
