Daily nourishment for your beautiful malleable mind
A Mind Like a Stringed Instrument
I experience my mind to be like a stringed instrument that goes out of tune consistently. The strings loosen, the melody warps, and what once sang with clarity becomes noise. This is not a flaw, but simply the nature of the mind. Every day requires a tuning. Every day asks for me to pick up the instrument and bring it back into harmony.
So I wake up, usually make coffee (though right now I’m in the midst of a deep cleanse, so no coffee for me), and sit my ass down to practice. This practice is not a one time hour-long event, but more like taking small sips and snacks throughout the day. And it’s less about perfection and more about nourishment. It’s thought nutrition. Thought medicine. An ongoing infusion of affirmations, reminders, and soul food that washes the dust off my mental windows and lets the light in.
The Double-Edged Nature of Thought
Our thoughts are tricksters.
They can rise up as obstacles, dragging us into habitual patterns, feeding doubt, spinning endless webs of “not enough.” They whisper in voices that sound familiar, convincing, even logical. And yet, they keep us small.
But thoughts are not villains. The same tool that trips us can lift us. When nourished, when directed with love, thoughts become our allies. They remind us of our power. They clear paths instead of tangling them. This is where the daily practice comes in.

Habitual Thinking Is Slippery
Changing habitual thinking can feel like trying to twist a lid off a pickle jar with oily hands. Oily hand lid-removal is not impossible, but it just requires consistency. You try again. You keep twisting. Eventually, the lid gives way.
The same is true for thought patterns. They are stubborn, slippery, repetitive. But consistent practice – gentle daily forgiving – reshapes them. Bit by bit, thought by thought.
Less Than Three Minutes
Here’s the surprising part: it doesn’t take hours of meditation, elaborate rituals, or mountaintop retreats. Sometimes, less than three minutes is enough. Three minutes to brush off the old thought-plaque. Three minutes to align the strings of your mind’s instrument. Three minutes to choose thoughts that serve instead of sabotage.
That’s the beauty of consistency: small, steady shifts create powerful transformation over time.
Don’t Ever Give Up
This is your gentle nudge, your little yummy nibble of nourishment: do not give up on yourself. Do not give up on your mind. Keep tuning. Keep nourishing. Keep crafting thoughts that honor who you are becoming. The practice is not about perfection, it’s about devotion. About remembering what matters most and creating more of that in your life. Your mind is malleable. Your thoughts are shape-shifters. Your daily practice is the tuning fork that brings them back into harmony.
So, pour yourself a coffee, sit your ass down, and give yourself those three minutes. Wash your mind in sweetness. Align your strings. Because the song of your life deserves to be played in tune.
Loving you,
Meghan
